The 2018 La Poussie Sancerre Blanc is a white wine from the Sancerre appellation in the Loire Valley in France. Produced from the Sauvignon Blanc grape variety, it is known for its mineral and flint character, coming from the particular terroir of the Sancerre region, where the vineyards are grown on a base of limestone and flint soils.

The 2018 harvest has a pale yellow color with green tinges. On the nose, the wine shows aromas of citrus fruits such as grapefruit and lemon, with notes of flint, white flowers and a slight hint of gooseberry. On the palate it has good acidity, which gives it a refreshing character and a medium-strong body, as well as mineral and flint notes. The finish is long and persistent.

Sancerre Blanc is considered one of the best expressions of Sauvignon Blanc. It is a versatile wine that can be enjoyed both as an aperitif and with a variety of seafood such as oysters, shellfish or fish in a creamy sauce, as well as goat cheese and salads. The wine should be served well chilled at around 10-12 °C.

La Poussie is a family-run winery known for its wines of excellent quality and typicality. She uses modern cellar techniques while maintaining the traditional ones. They work hard in the vineyard to produce high quality grapes. This Sancerre Blanc is an excellent example of the terroir-driven wines of this region.
