2016 Chateau Guiraud Petit Guiraud Sauternes

The Château Guiraud Petit Guiraud Sauternes is a high quality sweet wine from the Bordeaux wine region of France. It is made from the autochthonous grape variety Sémillon and matures in French oak barriques for one to two years. The wine is characterized by its concentrated aromas of honey, marzipan, citrus and dried fruit. On the palate it is dense and complex, with a fine acidity and a long, lingering finish. The Château Guiraud Petit Guiraud Sauternes is an excellent accompaniment to desserts and cheese, but also to roast poultry and light meat dishes. It is particularly good for storage and only gets better with age.
