The Brancaia Ilatraia is a high-quality red wine from the Tuscan wine region of Maremma. It is made from the autochthonous grape varieties Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot and matures for 18 months in French and American oak barrels. The wine is characterized by its complex aromas of dark berries, cherries and spices. On the palate it is full-bodied and full-bodied, with well-integrated tannins and a long, lingering finish. The Brancaia Ilatraia is an excellent accompaniment to meat dishes such as beef, lamb and game, but also to cheese and other hearty dishes. It is particularly good for storage and only gets better with age.
The Brancaia winery is located in the Tuscan wine region of Chianti Classico and is one of the best-known and most renowned wine producers in the region. It was founded in 1982 by the Peyrassol family and is now managed by the siblings Martina and Stefano and their team. The winery specializes in the production of high-quality red wines and only uses the autochthonous grape varieties Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. The vineyards of the Brancaia winery are located in the municipalities of Castellina in Chianti and Gaiole in Chianti and cover a total of 130 hectares.
