With its 46 hectares on a single contiguous property on the Néac plateau, which is a continuation of the famous Pomerol plateau, Château Siaurac is the largest and most emblematic of all the wineries in the Lalande-de-Pomerol appellation.
The appellation lies near the confluence of the Isle and Dordogne rivers and is protected on the south-west by the hill at Fronsac. Influenced by the Atlantic Ocean, it benefits from good climatic conditions: sunny, warm and dry summers followed by mild autumns that favor perfect ripening of the grapes. The soil is Tertiary and consists of alluvial deposits formed during the formation of the Pyrenees and the Massif Central.
